Meredith Markfield spent thirty years teaching middle school English on Long Island. She later retired to Florida where she developed an interest in painting on a limited basis. In 2018 she found her inner artist in Pinehurst, NC, where she now lives. She is a board member for the Artists League of the Sandhills in Aberdeen, NC.
